Harrogate cricket club net new threads thanks to Dacres
A local cricket club has smart new jackets for its junior coaches and helpers thanks to Harrogate estate agent, Dacre, Son & Hartley. Harrogate Cricket Club, which is a centre of excellence for cricket in North Yorkshire and is based on St George’s Road has four senior teams that play across the Yorkshire Premier League, York Senior District and Nidderdale Leagues. The club also has a thriving junior section and ladies’ team. Junior Chair, Cath Harrison, from Harrogate Cricket Club, said: “With over 190 boys and girls involved in the juniors, from Under 9’s to Under 18’s playing in the Nidderdale League, and a waiting list for the 2022 season, it’s a really popular club with some talented young cricketers.
“The Under 9’s won the Coad Cup at Finals Day at Studley Royal this month, and the juniors are all really enjoying their season. There are plenty more weeks to come and it is so nice to hear laughter and watch them enjoying themselves so much. “Our coaches and helpers volunteer their time to ensure that all of our junior squad have access to quality coaching and match support. These smart new branded jackets from Dacres will protect them from whatever the British weather throws at us, which has included a lot of rain this summer!” Area director, Paul Baxter, from Dacres said: “We first started supporting Harrogate Cricket Club last year and it’s great to see our branding on these jackets. Our firm has been in Harrogate for over 50 years, and we make it a priority to support the local community. “Harrogate Cricket Club is a fantastic club that has really championed girls and women’s cricket. With the recent appointment of Yorkshire and Northern Diamonds professional cricketer, Phoebe Graham and the girls’ junior team competing in the Nidderdale under 13 boys league for the first time, we are very excited to be supporting such an inclusive and supportive club.” Dacre Son & Hartley has several sponsorship partnerships with a number of clubs and organisations across the region including North Yorkshire Schools Athletics.
