Record rents achieved for new industrial development in Leeds
All seven units are now let at Brookfield Trading Estate, which is the only small-scale industrial unit scheme built in Leeds in 2021, achieving record rents of £12.00 per sq ft. The site has been developed by Rahon Property Development. The firm was advised by leading property consultancy, Gent Visick (GV). Brookfield Trading Estate is located on the southern fringe of Leeds City Centre, within walking distance of Leeds City Centre and the seven units range in size from 990 to 4,000 sq ft. Home food delivery company, Arrow Fresh took three units, a further two units were leased to specialist roofing, windows and doors firm, Roofline Design. The final two units were leased to national shop fitting company A&C Design and electrical contracting business S&R Electrical. GV also successfully secured a 10-year lease, for Rahon Property Development, with national car and van rental company Thrifty on the front part of the site. Jonathan Jacob from GV, who worked on the project, said: “Brookfield Trading Estate is one of the very few new small industrial developments built in Leeds over the past 15 years. The units have been built to a very high standard, whilst the estate itself benefits from being a fully secure gated development with CCTV security cameras and monitored security. “We are proud to have advised our client on this development from conception through to completion, where we have achieved record rents for industrial warehouse premises in Leeds in this size range.”
