The sky's the limit: SEVEN BRO7HERS expand and recruit as lucrative Manchester airport deal goes live
Salford Brewery SEVEN BRO7HERS BREWING CO predicts 545% growth by 2023 following the launch of its latest lucrative deal with HMSHost International in Manchester Airport’s new Terminal Two.
The ‘Amber Alehouse’, which opened its doors for the first time this month, is a modern industrial bar hosting SEVEN BRO7HERS craft beers and cask ales. The new pub is aimed at pre-flight pints and travellers looking for incredible bar food – a local experience in the airport.
The lucrative ten-year contract worth £30M provides HMSHost International exclusivity to host SEVEN BRO7HERS range of craft beers and iconic ‘family’ of beers.
The brand-new airport site aims to mirror the atmosphere and ethos of SEVEN BRO7HERS popular Manchester Beer houses – with staff fully trained to offer customers a craft brewery experience.
CEO of SEVEN BRO7HERS, Keith McAvoy said: “It is a hugely exciting time for our business as we expand and recruit to enable us to grow. The Manchester airport partnership takes our business to the next level, giving our brewery a global platform and getting our beers in front of new drinkers.
“Based on footfall predictions for the next three years, we anticipate we will need to more than triple our current production to just to meet the demand of the Amber Alehouse in Manchester’s Terminal Two.”
This spring the brewery launched with their first major national retailer, with its much-loved Juicy IPA and Honeycomb Pale hitting ASDA stores across the UK and online. The supermarket deal is a big win for the family brewery, generating over £600K annually.
The company’s direct to consumer business, via its webshop, also continues to maintain momentum, growing by more than 200% since the start of the pandemic.
Keith added: “ASDA is the first national supermarket deal for SEVEN BRO7HERS and we are proud to see two of our most popular beers on shelf. Like the airport, it broadens our fan base outside of the North-West of England and enables us to take our brand to the next level.
“2021 is a moment for SEVEN BRO7HERS. Lucrative commercial deals, a growing beer house portfolio and thriving direct to consumer webshop make our business one of the faster growing craft breweries in the UK. This is a huge achievement as we celebrate our 7th year in business this month and is testament to the hard work of the whole team and loyalty of our customers.”
Due to rapid expansion and growth the brewery is looking for two creative and experienced brewery professionals to join the team as a Technical Lead Brewing Manager and a Production Brewer. The business is also recruiting for a HR manager to operate across the brewery and beer house sites.
The brothers are now expanding the SEVEN BRO7HERS brewery site. The team have taken on a second warehouse space to tackle the increased web shop and on-trade demand.
The new larger site will include a new office space for the sales, marketing, HR and finance departments and provide more space for the increase in production. The brewing team are now operating in a ‘shift-like’ pattern to ensure that brewing is ‘always on’.
Despite the covid challenges of closures or restrictions across its beer house portfolio, the brothers have continued to go from strength to strength, opening a new site in MediaCityUK in May.
With their eyes on further expansion – and backed by the 2020 crowd funding – the brewery plan to open its doors to new communities across the UK. The Liverpool beer house will open in November this year and a further site in Leeds is planned for early 2022. Sites are planned for Sheffield, Nottingham and Birmingham towards the end of 2023.
SEVEN BRO7HERS BREWING CO was founded in 2014 by McAvoy brothers, Guy, Keith, Luke, Daniel, Nathan, Kit, and Greg, inspired by their dad’s home-brewing in their cellar at home.
In 2016 the brothers opened their first beer house in Ancoats, Manchester. They now have an onsite taproom at the brewery in Salford and a beer house at Middlewood Locks.
