The Curve bolsters senior management team with latest Director appointment
Andrew Sherwin joins Sheffield-based tech firm
Leading software development and technology consultancy The Curve has made an appointment to its senior management team.
Andrew Sherwin, who boasts more than 18 years’ sector experience, joins from leading global decision augmentation company Signal Ai, having previously worked in business growth and client care roles with companies like Barclays, Novartis, RBS Bank, and Panasonic.
Joining The Curve’s senior management team with immediate effect Andrew will now work alongside Business Development Director Melise Jones, as well as co-founders James and Paul to expand the current national offering to clients in a range of sectors including financial services.
A results-orientated director with a strong business development background, Andrew is a strategic hire for The Curve, which has grown five-fold since it was first established in 2019, and has continued to secure both public and private sector contracts throughout the pandemic.
Welcoming him to the firm, CEO Paul Ridgway, said: “Despite all of the challenges presented over the past year The Curve has continued to go from strength to strength – securing new clients both here in the UK and abroad, while working on a growing number of innovative projects and ongoing technology related retainer contracts.
“Andrew’s appointment is in response to this success, but also indicative of the ambitions that we have for the future as we continue to recruit and continue to partner with industry leading organisations to help them implement the technology and software solutions that meet their immediate and longer-term needs.
“His longstanding business expertise along with his understanding of the financial services arena in particular is impressive, and we are delighted to have him on board.
Commenting on his new role Andrew said: “I am beyond thrilled to be joining The Curve at such a pivotal moment in their journey.
“The company’s commitment to serving the local community and beyond with their skills and expertise is something I admire; hard work and perseverance always pays off and I can see that resonate within The Curve.”
Having spent much of his childhood in South Africa, Andrew says he learnt most of what he needed to know in life alongside his father, where the values he learnt have stayed with him through life. He accredits his unwavering determination and enthusiasm to those problem-solving lessons.
Paul added: “Andrew’s track record is outstanding, and his experience covers such a range of businesses across industries including the tech field.
“The growth of our business has meant it is important to find someone to take on the challenges, but also someone who shares our combined ethos.
“We all look forward to working closely with Andrew and I know we will all benefit from his knowledge.”
