Garbutt + Elliott Yorkshire Food + Drink Awards shortlist announced

Leading York and Leeds accountancy, advisory and audit firm Garbutt + Elliott is delighted to announce the shortlist of its annual Yorkshire Food + Drink Awards which recognise and reward the region’s thriving businesses in the food and drink industry.

Yorkshire is home to some of the most successful food and drink businesses in the UK which contribute significantly to the region’s economy.

The Garbutt + Elliott Food & Drink Awards aims to celebrate these businesses that have continued to excel and strive to be the best. This year’s awards are made up of 11 categories with a total of 48 shortlisted businesses. The winners of each are entered into the Overall Winner category which is judged by Garbutt + Elliott and Chef Consultant Stephanie Moon.

Over 90 businesses entered the awards from across the Yorkshire region. Garbutt & Elliott’s social media channels will showcase the shortlisters far and wide, so do take a look at these pages to follow the announcements.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 16 September at York Racecourse. This is a high profile and widely promoted event, that provides a platform to showcase achievements, creating visibility and valuable publicity for those businesses involved. There will also be a special emphasis on those businesses which has shown resilience throughout the pandemic in the ‘True Yorkshire Grit’ category.

The calibre of entrants this year has been impressive highlighting the ingenuity, ambition and hard work of the fantastic businesses that enter. The success of companies in the food and drink sector is instrumental to the revival of the local and UK economy and we are delighted to support them with their growth ambitions. Much of what we do is about supporting Yorkshire businesses and our involvement in the Food + Drink awards is a great way of celebrating success and sharing with others an insight into what drives successful businesses and how others can learn from them.”
