North East chartered insurance broker increases national reach with new acquisition
A North East chartered insurance broker has increased its national reach with the acquisition of a North Wales commercial insurance brokerage.
Gateshead’s Talbot Jones Ltd, which specialises in third sector and small business risks, has acquired March Insurance Services, based in Pwllheli, North Wales.
The move to acquire Match Insurance Services began in March 2021 to provide managing director Amanda Williams with a flexible working environment and, in line with Talbot Jones Ltd’s growth plans, provision of employment opportunities and a continued role in aiming to improve standards in the insurance industry.
Richard Talbot-Jones, managing director of Talbot Jones Ltd, said: “Having grown up in Powys, and following the successful acquisition of a brokerage in the Rhondda in 2019, we are really excited to be consolidating our presence in Wales.”
The acquisition of March Insurance Services fits into Talbot Jones Ltd’s strategy as they aim to help more organisations better understand and manage their risks. It has also allowed the company to expand its geographical footprint and grow its book of business.
Richard continued: “With a team member launching a North West hub in the Lakes this month to better serve our number of North West of England clients, we are looking forward to building more relationships in a wider area, working alongside Amanda who shares our values of community, excellence and integrity.”
