Fleets Corner Business Park secures trio of new lettings
The International business of Federated Hermes has announced a trio of new lettings at Fleets Corner Business Park in Poole, totalling over 28,500 sq ft of warehouse and office space.
Cutwrights, the British specialist building materials firm, has signed for Fleets Corner’s 15,100 sq G4 unit. Comprising two floors, the industrial premises will be fitted with high-end automated machinery, CNC-controlled wood processing machines, and a sophisticated biomass system for waste and heating to support the company’s cutting, edging and drilling services.
In addition, Rattanpark Furniture has selected the nearby 11,091 sq ft G1 warehouse as its new company headquarters. The retailer will utilise the ground floor of the unit as the new showroom for its luxury outdoor, garden, and patio furniture products. The rest of the expansive, two-storey unit will house expansive office space, distribution operations and storage facilities for Rattanpark.
The G1 and G4 units, as selected by Cutwrights and Rattanpark Furniture, sit amongst a total of four sites (G1 – G4) which are newly built and recently-launched at Fleets Corner. The four warehouses benefit from the business park’s prime location and boast high specifications including an internal eaves height of 9.7 meters, electric up-and-over loading doors, profile steel cladding, and a BREEAM rating of Excellent. The G3 unit is currently let by British online décor business Happy Homewares, while G2 remains immediately available for occupation.
The third letting of the trio is CityFibre, the UK’s largest alternative provider of wholesale fibre infrastructure. The signing will see Fleets Corner facilitate the company’s growth into the south, with CityFibre selecting 2,378 sq ft of the recently refurbished Waterloo House to serve as the latest office in its UK network.
Stephen Ellis, Senior Investment Manager, International Business of Federated Hermes, commented on the signing: “Following extensive investment, it is fantastic to see these newly-built and newly-refurbished spaces at Fleets Corner being signed at this pace and scale. From retail showrooms, to offices, to standard manufacturing and warehousing, these recent lettings reflect the spectrum of uses which can be carried out at Fleets Corner, as well as the site’s adaptability to various needs. We are committed to continually developing not only the quality of the units but the quality of life within the park, and we look forward to welcoming these innovative and well-established companies to the Fleets Corner community.”
The three signings follow the news that popular cosmetics brand, Lush, is set to expand its existing logistics accommodation at Fleets Corner Business Park to house its eco-friendly ‘Greenhub’ circular recycling site in the newly redeveloped 40,128 sq ft Unit M warehouse.
Goadsby and JLL acted for Federated Hermes in the three deals.
