Rituals Cosmetics to make regional debut in centre:mk

Rituals Cosmetics is to open a new store at centre:mk Milton Keynes, one of the top 10 retail destinations in the UK, marking its debut in the region. Located on Silbury Arcade opposite the new H Beauty flagship, the 2,571 sq ft store will open later this year.

The store will offer the brand’s full range of luxurious yet affordable home, bath and body products designed to turn every day routines into meaningful rituals. The brand’s signature fragrances are carefully designed and composed by some of the world’s finest perfumers. Products range from scented candles and aromatherapy diffusers, to perfumes and massage oils.

Kevin Duffy, centre:mk’s Centre Director, said: “We work continuously to enhance our offer with best-in-class brands such as Rituals as we anticipate and satisfy the evolving needs of guests. Personal wellbeing and beauty are key areas, so Rituals is a great addition that, along with other recent openings at centre:mk, creates an offer unrivalled anywhere in the region.”

Rituals was founded in 2000 by Raymond Cloosterman, a former Unilver employee with the aim of transform their customers’ every day experiences to create relaxing and meaningful moments. The first Rituals store opened in Amsterdam and has since expanded worldwide to 27 countries with approximately 800 stores. Having opened the first store in the UK in Covent Garden in 2016, Rituals now boasts 36 stores across the country.

Penny Grivea, Managing Director for UK & Ireland at Rituals, said: “We are very excited to be opening a new store in Milton Keynes, one of the prime retail destinations in the UK. We have grown rapidly in the UK since our flagship store in Covent Garden opened in 2016 and we are always looking for the right opportunities to support our growth, especially in key locations outside of London. Our aim at Rituals is to sell more than just products, but relaxing moments for our customers to enjoy. Wellbeing is a focal point for many, especially since the pandemic, it’s only natural for people to be looking for some relaxation. Rituals will be the ideal solution to help them unwind in their own home.”

The announcement follows the news that Laser Clinics UK and Thérapie Clinic have selected centre:mk for new stores, with the former located at 43 Silbury Arcade and the latter at 30 Midsummer Arcade. In addition, Beaverbrooks, the award-winning family-owned jewellers, is upsizig with a relocation from Midsummer Arcade to Crown Walk.
