Cardo Crew to Showcase Latest Technology at International Wireless Communications Expo 2021
Leading PPE manufacturer showcases its PRO-1 and CREW Headset intercom solutions targeted for the first time at International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) in Las Vegas, Nevada
Cardo Crew - a division of Cardo Systems that specialises in providing reliable, hands-free wireless intercom for teams on the move, will be showcasing its PRO-1 and CREW Headset hands-free intercom solutions for the first time at this year’s IWCE from 29- 30 September. This follows its successful launch in 2020.
The PRO-1 is a lightweight mesh communication module that fits inside PPE such as helmets and ear guards. It is designed for PPE manufacturers to introduce team communication to busy, noisy, or hazardous environments, making it ideal for various industry sectors such as hospitals, emergency services and construction, where communication is vital in managing risk, preventing work-related incidents, and improving on-site safety.
The Crew Headset is a communication device that provides the most advanced wireless communication technology in the market today. Ergonomically designed, it is powered by both Bluetooth® and Dynamic Mesh Communications (DMC™) technologies and equipped with the best hearing protection capabilities.
By showcasing its latest communication technology at IWCE, Cardo Crew aims to help PPE manufacturers keep workers safe by providing robust and efficient comms, which is crucial when it comes to mitigating risk and accidents.
“We believe there is a real need for hands-free communication for dynamic teams working in notoriously noisy, hazardous environments at relatively close distances. Given the increasing rate of incidents in the various sectors, it’s clear that there is still work to be done to ensure safer working practices,” said Shachar Harari, Chief Business Officer & Head of Cardo Crew. “That’s why we’re excited to introduce our latest technology at this year’s IWCE, where we will be engaging with OEM partners and potential customers.”
Pioneered by Cardo Crew, both PRO-1 and CREW Headset use mesh communications technology, which provides two-way, hands-free communications for groups of two to 15 workers at a range of up to 3000 metres. This technology operates as an autonomous network, removing the need to install base stations, with each device working like a mini-communications hub in its own right, making it ideal and safe for busy teams on-site, offering robust, short-range critical comms.
