CIPHR strengthens its executive team

Following the announcement of a new CFO last month, CIPHR, one of the UK’s largest HR SaaS providers, has revealed three further director-level appointments to strengthen its senior management team and support its ongoing growth strategy.

Effective immediately, Colin Bull has been named director of product design, Sinu Mohan has become director of professional services, and Ben Gammons rejoins CIPHR as its new director of customer support.

Until recently, Bull managed Digits – the enterprise learning management system that he founded. Digits was acquired by CIPHR last September and counts big names like the RAC, Kingfisher Group, The Telegraph, and Renault, among its customers. He’ll be bringing over 30 years’ experience and an in-depth knowledge of digital design, development, and delivery to his new role at CIPHR, where he will now oversee the design and development of the CIPHR Connect suite of HCM software applications.

The newly promoted Mohan will continue to head up all HR and payroll implementation and consultancy services. He joined CIPHR as head of payroll implementation & support in 2020, following CIPHR’s acquisition of Payroll Business Solutions (PBS) in late 2019. He was employed almost exclusively by PBS for over 15 years (from 2015 to 2020 and 2004 to 2014).

While Gammons returns to CIPHR and brings extensive experience managing various levels of technical support teams, providing software support to enterprise customers in the telephony, customer engagement and HR software sectors – and will head up all group customer support and service delivery activities.

Bull will report to CIPHR’s COO Matt Russell, and Mohan and Gammons will report to CIPHR’s director of people and services, Claire Williams.

Matt Russell, chief commercial officer of CIPHR, says: “CIPHR has grown significantly over the past 18 months and continues its ambitious strategy for growth as a leading provider of integrated HR, payroll, LMS and recruitment solutions. In his new role as director of product design, Colin’s focus will be on continuing to improve and enhance CIPHR’s comprehensive suite of exceptional products and applications, which enable our customers to deliver a world class employee experience.”

Colin Bull, director of product design at CIPHR, says: “We have worked hard to successfully integrate Digits and its LMS solutions into the CIPHR family over the past year. I am now looking forward to the opportunity to work on further enhancing the user experience across the full CIPHR Connect HCM platform.”

Claire Williams, director of people and services at CIPHR, says: “CIPHR is dedicated to helping our customers be as successful as they can by providing solutions that unlock the value of their people. We want, and need, to ensure that we are investing in the teams that are there to support and guide them during their journey with us.

“We have grown rapidly over the past few years and will continue to do so. It’s an exciting time for CIPHR and the right time to expand our senior management team to include customer support and professional services.

“We are delighted to welcome Ben back to CIPHR, as our new director of customer support, and to recognise Sinu’s contribution and success in being promoted to our first director of professional services. Both appointments are central to ensuring that we are brilliantly equipped to support our customers.”

Sinu Mohan, director of professional services at CIPHR, says: “I’m absolutely thrilled to take on the role of director of professional services at CIPHR. As an organisation, our focus is to provide outstanding services to our customers. My part in that, is to ensure our customers enjoy a great implementation experience. We have an excellent services team, and I’m looking forward to continue supporting, encouraging, and developing their skills and celebrating any success as a team success.”

Ben Gammons, director of customer support at CIPHR, says: “I’m delighted to be returning to CIPHR. I have always strongly aligned with the group’s vision and their guiding principles of putting people at the centre of everything they do.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity of driving outstanding customer support and helping our customers get the most from their CIPHR products.”

CIPHR’s ongoing investment in its business, technology, and people, has seen employee numbers rise by 17% since December 2020. Over 200 employees now work across the group, which is based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
