Caribbean Blinds wins for the second year running at national Real Homes Awards 2021
For the second year running, Caribbean Blinds has won at the national Real Homes Awards. The manufacturer of outdoor shading products has won in The Great Outdoors category with their hugely popular Cuba Awning product being crowned ‘The Best of the Best’ against stiff competition.
Each year the Real Homes Awards attracts hundreds of entries across 15 categories, unveiling and celebrating the most inspiring ideas and reviewing the must-have home products. The entries are scrutinised by an esteemed panel of judges who make the final decisions.
Choosing from a range of exemplary products in The Great Outdoors category, the unique Cuba Awning was chosen for displaying some of the highest ratings across multiple areas including durability, aesthetic appeal and value for money.
The Real Homes expert judging panel commented: “The Cuba Awning has everything you need to turn your patio into a sanctuary away from it all. As well as providing all important shade on the sunniest days, it has an (optional) infrared heater meaning it can create shelter year-round making your garden another room to enjoy, even in chillier weather. It can be remote controlled but also has weather sensors and will retract if it senses damaging winds.”
Stuart Dantzic, Managing Director at Caribbean Blinds explained: “The entire team at Caribbean Blinds is thrilled to take home this national award from such a well-known and credible publication as Real Homes Magazine for a second year running.
We work tirelessly to ensure our products are manufactured to the highest calibre and reflect the standard of the outdoor spaces we transform, so this highly coveted award is great recognition of everyone’s continued, outstanding work.“
Despite the pandemic, 2021 has been a successful year for Caribbean Blinds, who have continued to encourage consumers to create their very own ‘slice of paradise’ in their garden while the travel ban was in place.
Between January and June 2021, Caribbean Blinds experienced a 117% increase in turnover compared to the first six months of 2020. The Sudbury based firm has also seen staff numbers rise from 18 to 24 so far this year, with plans for another six employees to join the team over the coming months to keep up with continued demand and projected growth.
Earlier this year, the family run business enjoyed a double win at the Family Business of the Year Awards 2021, taking home the East and East Anglia Business of the Year and Homes and Gardens Business of the Year awards. They have also been named as finalists in two categories at the Growing Business Awards 2021 - ‘Consumer Business of the Year’ and ‘Family-Owned Business of the Year’
