Popular village nursing home makes new appointment
A popular nursing home that sits between Skipton and Keighley in Cross Hills, has appointed a new registered manager.
Nicola Parker, who is a registered general nurse, with a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership Health & Social Care, has more than 12 years industry experience. She has joined Beanlands Nursing Home, which is owned and operated by Saltaire-based Czajka Care Group.
Nicola has previously held registered nurse manager and clinical nurse manager roles, as well as working as the deputy manager for three years at Staveley Birkleas Nursing Home, which is also owned and operated by Czajka Care Group.
As registered manager, Nicola will be caring for 45 residents and managing a team of 43 at Beanlands Nursing Home. Konrad Czajka, managing director at Czajka Care Group, said: “We are really pleased to welcome Nicola back to Czajka Care Group. She is a caring and compassionate person, who is self-motivated and incredibly reliable. Professional, well-educated and with all the relevant experience, she was the ideal candidate for this role.”
Beanlands Nursing Home provides full time care for elderly people, as well as respite care and short breaks, day care, and palliative care.
Nicola said: “To be able to combine my nursing and managerial skills in this new role is ideal. Beanlands Nursing Home benefits from having a highly experienced and dedicated team, as well as an array of top-quality amenities and inclusive activities programme. With residents from across Skipton and Keighley, as well as from the likes of Ilkley and Addingham and beyond, it’s a delight to be heading up the home. I am responsible for the day to day management of the home, and will focus on delivering the very highest level of care packages for our residents.”
Konrad added: “Nicola has an inspirational approach to leadership and is also very approachable. She communicates well and builds strong relationships with the team she is working with and the residents she cares for.”
Beanlands Nursing Home is located on Colne Road and includes a grand central building with large light-filled lounges and a conservatory that offer views of the home’s immaculate landscaped gardens and grounds. It has the Gold Standard Framework in recognition of continued high standards, is accredited as an in Investors in People organisation, and has an impressive infection control rating.
Czajka Care Group also runs Currergate Nursing Home in Steeton, as well as Fairmount Nursing Home, Brookfield Care Home and Staveley Birkleas Nursing Home, which are all in Nab Wood near Shipley.
