Battery manufacturer increases capacity 100% whilst energy sector remains in tailspin
“Despite ongoing global supply chain disruption” a battery manufacturer claims it is in a healthy position with new projects and increased capacity.
According to Invinity Energy Systems, the company has seen an expansion in projects internationally and cash receipts of £3.2m for milestone payments over the last six months.
Invinity’s projects include the Energy Superhub Oxford project - currently in commissioning phase and scheduled for completion in Q4 2021.
Invinity is also involved in the Scottish Water project and the Yadlamalka solar-plus-storage plant in Australia.
Larry Zulch, chief executive officer at Invinity said: “We spent the Period building Invinity’s ability to address the global opportunities for non-lithium energy storage now and for years to come.
“This vital ‘behind the scenes’ work is paying off as we establish Invinity as foremost in providing a factory-built flow battery product, progressing to our goal of being the global leader in utility-grade energy storage.
“Our VS3 is finally shipping as a standardized product into multiple projects, marking a highly significant inflection point for the Group. I couldn’t be more pleased at the progress we’ve made, the size of the opportunity in front of us, and our ability to address it.”
