Russian-speaking angel investment "club" moves to London
An investment firm specialising in early raising is expanding to London.
AngelsDeck is an international technology community of Russian-speaking business angels, focusing on pre-seed, seed, and series A start ups.
Since 2019, more than 600 private investors have joined the club, and more than 80 deals with over $35m invested have been completed.
The club participates in deals using a syndication model.
The club has invested in start ups such as Andata, a cloud-based multichannel web analytics service, and Food Rocket, an American food delivery service.
AngelsDeck co-founder Sergie Mosunov said: “AngelsDeck works in two ways. We consider everything related to the global ecosystem of Russian-speaking venture capitalists, and second, we offer networking for like-minded people.
“Thus, we believe AngelsDeck is going to find its place in London’s business landscape since it’s a financial centre with a large number of Russian-speaking founders and business angels, who are willing to get access to the most prospective early-stage investing deals.”
Andrey Vyshlov, head of AngelsDeck London, added: “London is one of the world’s financial and innovation centres, so it is a timely step for AngelsDeck.
“The business model, where only a club member can propose a deal, presupposes that the new location and new members will enrich the club’s deal pipeline with the projects from the UK.”
