Yorkshire distillery secures listing with Morrisons
A Yorkshire artisan drinks distillery has secured a listing with supermarket giant Morrisons for its range of Yorkshire Tonics.
Raisthorpe’s Yorkshire Tonics are being stocked in eleven of Morrisons’ stores in the North of England – at Leeds, Guiseley, Horsforth, Skipton, Starbeck, Scarborough, Kirkstall, Boroughbridge, York, Bridlington and Malton.
The tonics are made at Raisthorpe’s farm at Thixendale on the Yorkshire Wolds by blending local water with a range of citrus and fruity botanicals and quassia, rather than traditional quinine.
Raisthorpe sales and operations director Oliver Medforth said: “The listing enables us to bring our range to even more customers and enables more gin lovers to enjoy an all-Yorkshire G&T at home with family and friends.”
Available in 500ml bottles, the tonics are produced in eight flavours. The Apple and Elderflower and Pink Grapefruit are both Great Taste Awards winners and the Citrus, Apple and Elderflower, Skinny and Premium tonics all have accredited vegan status.
The family business launched its range of tonics three years ago in response to consumer demand for locally produced, premium flavoured tonics.
The new listing follows Raisthorpe’s listing with high-end supermarket Booths which is selling Yorkshire Tonics in all of its 28 stores in the North.
Raisthorpe Distillery’s artisan spirits and Yorkshire Tonics are widely stocked in farm shops, delis, independent retailers and the hospitality sector. They are also available from Raisthorpe’s shop at the York Designer Outlet shopping centre.
