Opening doors: Shelley Sandzer secures new location for Notting Hill stalwarts, 'The Little Yellow Door'
Leading specialist UK leisure and property agency, Shelley Sandzer, has secured a new site for The Little Door & Co, the company behind Notting Hill’s most-loved neighbourhood bar and restaurant, ‘The Little Yellow Door’.
The new 2,200 sq ft, two floor venue is set to open later this year at 12-13 Greek Street, a unit in Ilona Rose House. The site, redeveloped by Soho Estates, is a mixed-use, new-build development, spread over 13 floors, including four below ground.
The Little Door concept is based on the vision of a perfect house party. Featuring menus in photo albums and cocktails named after the establishment’s DVD collection, it is a cosy, yet lively bar and eatery. Guests can enjoy dinner parties and board games on a Friday, a classic house party on a Saturday, or bottomless brunch on a Sunday.
The new Soho site will join The Little Door & Co’s existing venues in Notting Hill, alongside The Little Orange Door in Clapham and The Little Blue Door in Fulham. Rapid growth for the brand is testament to its success in creating dynamic spaces where people can meet in unpretentious environments and enjoy a bespoke party experience tailored to the needs of different guests.
Nick Weir, joint managing partner of Shelley Sandzer, commented:“The Little Door & Co concept offers something quite unique for the dynamic young crowd it attracts, and Soho is always a great location for the best-in-class operators to trade. This deal, alongside numerous others we have completed in recent months, coincides with growing footfall numbers in London and represents a real resurgence of the West End’s hospitality scene.”
Kamran Dehdashti, director and co-founder of The Little Door & Co, said: “We are a young, growing brand pioneering a new slant on the hospitality industry. Our aim is to create venues that feel like walking into a home by styling them around a fictional flat share. As the centre of London’s vibrant nightlife, Soho is an exciting location for us to expand our unique offering, and we are thankful for Shelley Sandzer’s help in securing this new site for us.”
The news follows Shelley Sandzer securing a number of new sites for operators in the West End, including Soho favourite, Vasco & Piero’s, who have signed at 10-11 D’arblay Street, as well as Wing Wing, Gordon Ramsey Street Burger and Japanese restaurant Takumi, all of whom are opening in the West End.
