Digital location booking platform books London in rapid expansion programme
London will be the new UK centre for an online booking platform to help people list, discover, and book locations for creative projects and events.
Giggster’s marketplace connects property hosts with guests and creators who are looking for the perfect space for their next event, meeting, or production project, from mansions, office buildings, and studios to ranches, stadiums, and private zoos.
Founded in 2017 in Los Angeles, Giggster is expanding the online booking platform to the UK, starting with more than 1,000 film-friendly locations in and around London.
Loved by major Hollywood studios and student filmmakers alike, Giggster has become an industry favourite by changing the way production professionals find and rent unique filming locations.
The company’s platform provides direct access to property owners with an extremely diverse range of rental spaces —simplifying the booking process and reducing costs at the same time.
Leanne Beesley, GM of Giggster’s European division, said: “We’ve been working hard to curate an exceptional range of production locations for this launch.
“Our property hosts have a bit of everything on offer, from abandoned warehouses to luxe mansions.
“Giggster’s quickly outgrown our Hollywood roots and has expanded to offer venues for nearly any purpose. Guests can book remarkable locations for a wedding, conference, Christmas party, virtually any event.”
The marketplace already boasts original London Underground carriages and celebrity haunts, such as Jimi Hendrix’s former London home.
