ISO specialists help elevator company hit new heights

North east based ISO consultancy company, Compliant FM, are delighted to have worked alongside Rise Elevator to help the business gain the ISO 9001:2015 quality standard.

Compliant, who have been based in Sunderland since 2017, work with companies across the UK who are looking to grow their business by gaining UKAS accredited ISO certification.

During the last 18 months, Compliant have seen the demand for their services increase, with many businesses looking to gain competitor advantage or tender for public sector opportunities, many of which require suppliers to have an ISO certification.

They were delighted to be approached by Rise Elevator as they looked to grow their business by gaining the prestigious ISO quality standard. Having recently moved into new premises in Gateshead’s Team Valley, Rise Elevator provide lift, installation and repair services to businesses across the UK including the NHS and the National Trust.

With a view to tendering for large national contracts and to give their customers the reassurance they were working to the highest quality, Rise opted to gain ISO 9001:2015, the quality management standard.

Following their successful certification, Rise were so impressed with the support given by Compliant, they have now retained their services to help maintain the standard as they look to further grow the business.

Rise Elevator managing director, Kris Gough, commented, ‘We can’t thank Compliant enough for assisting us in gaining the ISO quality management standard, this will make a huge difference to our business as we look to tender for large public sector opportunities. The standard ensures we have a structure in place for procedures and have all of our processes detailed, our customers can also be reassured we work to the highest quality standards.

Gaining ISO certification was a great achievement, however, we also knew we had to maintain working to the standard which includes carrying out regular audits which is why we asked Compliant to work with us on a long term basis. Another step of our company’s growth was to recently move into our new premises in Gateshead and we have recently also employed a business development manager, we’re looking forward to continuing to provide quality, reliable and cost-effective services to our clients.’

Compliant managing director, Mark Henderson, was delighted with the success of the project, he explained, ‘Gaining ISO certification for many businesses can be a daunting process, they think it will be costly and time consuming however this doesn’t have to be the case. We worked with Rise Elevator closely to find out about their business procedures and structures and were able to prepare all the documentation they needed in order to be externally UKAS accredited.

Many businesses are realising that in order to supply to the main contractors throughout the UK or public sector bodies, they need ISO certification in order to prove their quality, health & safety or environmental credentials. Rise Elevator are a great example of a forward thinking and growing business that not only wanted to gain the standard but also wanted to ensure they continued to maintain this and continually improve, we’re looking forward to seeing how the business grows over the company months and years.’
