Laseraid UK appoints head of education to lead laser training for therapists and clinics

Laseraid, the newly launched ‘one stop shop’ for the growing UK market in aesthetic laser provision, has appointed experienced aesthetic and medical laser specialist Sarah McNulty as head of education following the recent opening of its new showroom, training academy and service centre in the South East.

Having started her career as a beauty therapist in Ireland, Sarah then spent nearly three years working as a senior skin aesthetician in clinics in New Zealand and Australia before returning to the UK to work for a laser equipment distributor where she spent four years as a national laser educator. She has experience of training clients on applications such as hair removal, tattoo removal, scar revision, vascular lesion removal, pigmentation, resurfacing and ablative procedures

A clinical training specialist in laser product knowledge, in her new role Sarah will be responsible for delivering training for Laseraid across its complete portfolio of medical devices from all of the leading suppliers of the latest cutting edge technology for the aesthetic industry.

Working across the UK, she will provide one-to-one installation support at clients’ clinics as well as devising ongoing training programmes at Laseraid’s new training academy where a series of open days, workshops and master classes will be held.

“Supporting our customers with the most professional levels of ongoing training was a cornerstone of our service when we launched earlier this year, and we’ve invested in both the academy facilities that are a UK first for the industry and also in securing the UK’s leading expert trainer to head up our education offering,” comments Jamel Hussain, commercial director of Laseraid UK.

“With more than ten years’ experience in the sector, working both to provide treatments within clinics and latterly as a clinical trainer, Sarah brings a wealth of laser product knowledge. Sarah’s experience in this niche market is unique, with specialist expertise across a wide range of aesthetic laser equipment and all the leading brands and manufacturers. As we represent all of the premium brands in the sector that was crucial, and made her a great fit for our business.

“The extent of the training we plan to provide is one of the key factors that will set us apart from our competitors and Sarah’s expertise will play a vital part in developing our offering. In addition to sales or rental options, we have launched an all-inclusive subscription model covering ongoing, unlimited training support as well as full maintenance from our skilled engineers. We expect the quality of education Sarah will help us deliver to be of huge benefit to our clients as they build their skills in this fast-growing market.”

Sarah comments: “Having worked in New Zealand and Australia, I was well aware of Laseraid as a leading brand and this is an exciting opportunity to be part of its success in the UK. I believe there is a gap in the market here for a provider of aesthetic laser equipment which is also able to deliver a high standard of service and ongoing support as well as flexibility in terms of changing and upgrading machines as clients’ businesses grow.

“The new 1,600 sq ft state-of-the-art showroom, training facility and service centre in Hertfordshire gives us a fantastic facility in which to provide top quality customer training and demonstrations, and I am also looking forward to visiting customers’ clinics across the UK to support new applications.”

In recent years, the use of lasers by clinics, doctors and dermatology specialists has boomed as technology has become available to assist with a wide range of treatments including laser hair removal, tattoo removal, skin rejuvenation, fat freezing, body contouring and facial treatments.

The new Laseraid training and service centre is open seven days a week by appointment, and demonstrations, training and service enquiries can be made at hello@laseraid.co.uk.
