Exeter-based agency celebrates 21st anniversary with a focus on purpose

Award-winning Exeter agency Absolute PR and Marketing is celebrating 21 years in business with a brand refresh which reflects the agency and team’s passion for building brands with purpose.

Born out of a shared drive for delivering meaningful and purposeful work that has a positive impact, be that for clients or for the wider benefit of society and the climate, Absolute has adopted a sustainability plan to evidence its commitment to positive change.

The plan shows how the agency and its team walks the talk and aligns actions and activities with five of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s): good health and wellbeing; sustainable cities and communities; positive climate action; life below water; and life on land.

Each year Absolute plans to report on its progress, which has so far included taking steps to reduce the agency’s carbon footprint. This has included sourcing electricity from renewable energy sources, heating from a biomass boiler, and water from an on-site spring for its office requirements. This year, the team has also supported Dartmoor Zoo, Westcountry Rivers Trust and Dartmoor National Park (Moor Otters Art Trail) amongst others.

Absolute PR and Marketing’s new website and branding is reflective of the agency that has evolved over the past 21 years, and highlights its blend of traditional and digital PR and marketing skills.

Managing Director Rachael Whitson, who established Absolute 21 years ago, commented: “Our brand refresh forms part of our 21st business anniversary celebration, which has provided us with an opportunity to review what we do and why we do it, what sets us apart and what drives us. The simple answer is that we are driven by a passion for purpose, delivering work that makes a difference, campaigns that have impact, and outcomes that are meaningful.”

Reflecting Absolute PR and Marketing’s blend of traditional and digital solutions and services, the new purpose-led brand positioning echoes the agency’s commitment to sustainability and to working with clients and stakeholders who share their values and put the environment and society at the core of their operations.

Rachael adds: “Part of our company’s purpose is our commitment to community, cause and climate, which is why we’ve developed a sustainability plan as intrinsic to our rebrand. Launched to demonstrate how we walk the talk, our sustainability plan aligns with the United Nation’s SDG’s and benchmarks all the work we’re doing to minimise our environmental footprint and have a positive impact on society.”

Working with a number of clients that hold similar values, the forward-thinking, ambitious agency is seeking to develop relationships with many more likeminded businesses that are similarly driven by a passion for purpose.

Absolute PR & Marketing offers public relations and marketing communications consultancy to a diverse range of b2b and b2c clients across the UK in the manufacturing, tech, recycling and waste management, leisure and tourism, property, health and food and drink sectors.
