Offshore Wind North East event brings together local sustainability experts and business leaders
The Offshore Wind North East event is to be held at the Beacon of Light community centre in Sunderland between December 1 and December 2.
The conference brings together local experts and business leaders to discuss the future of sustainable energy practice in the North East region.
Highlights of the event include the following conferences: Turbines of the Future: Innovation in advanced manufacturing for offshore wind, Energi Coast Offshore Wind Champions North East England – World Leaders in Subsea, and GE Renewable Energy: Presence in North East England.
Guy Currey, director, Invest North East England, who is a regional event partner, said: “These are exciting times for North East England. We are at the centre of the UK’s green revolution and in pole position to take advantage of opportunities in the green economy.
“Our assets, growing renewables business cluster and superb talent pool have global recognition and recent investments from the likes of Equinor/SSE and JDR Cables cement the region’s reputation as the UK’s leading offshore renewables location.”
A statement issued by the event’s organisers notes the involvement of “Gold Sponsor” renewable energy company ODE. It reads: “For over 20 years, ODE has been providing expert technical consultancy services to offshore wind farms across the UK and internationally.
“With a wealth of knowledge across the full project lifecycle, ODE combines decades of expertise, repurposed experience in the oil and gas sector, and innovative thinking to deliver the best solutions to its clients”
