Sunderland City Council appoints real estate specialist to market local advanced manufacturing site
Sunderland City Council has appointed commercial and industrial agents to market and let 126,000 sq ft of Industrial space situated within the International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP).
Unit 6 is located at the heart of the International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP), and was originally built to drive the ongoing development of the region’s advanced manufacturing sector.
Avison Young and HTA have been appointed to provide agency services towards promoting and actively marketing the availability of the unit to prospective tenants and companies seeking to relocate by way of inward investment.
Danny Cramman of Avison Young commented: “Both Avison Young and HTA are delighted to be working with Sunderland City Council on this project.
“There is a real shortage of high-quality manufacturing buildings of this nature and this unit brings some much-needed available space to the market.”
Nick Atkinson of HTA added: The building has been constructed to an excellent specification including high quality office accommodation, 15T gantry cranes and 2MVA of power available, making it ideal for the manufacturing sector.“
Peter McIntyre, executive director of city development at Sunderland City Council, noted: “Unit 6 is a fantastic building representing a compelling opportunity for the advanced manufacturing sector and we look forward to seeing our joint agents successfully showcase this building to the market.”
