CloudM and Village Hotels spearheading the digital revolution in Manchester

Leading SaaS data management platform, CloudM, has helped Village Hotels to save time and money by utilising its platform to streamline time-intensive procedures within the business.

Both based in Manchester, the two businesses are at the forefront of the north’s digital revolution, with Village hotels eager to update its systems with CloudM’s innovative solution throughout.

Faced with the mounting task of manually updating user access rights, and transferring data between current and ex employees, each time an employee joined or left the business, Village Hotels decided a tech-first approach could be the solution they’d been looking for. Due to the scale of the company’s employee pool, this manual process took up valuable time and wasn’t an efficient solution.

With around 2,500 employees at any given time, and a high turnover of employees synonymous with the hospitality sector, the internal HR and IT departments at Village Hotels were struggling to effectively manage the onboarding and offboarding of employees, as well as the on-going management of business critical data.

The company needed an affordable and automated management solution to seamlessly manage its users and their data so it could give even more energy to delivering a luxury service to its guests, and turned to fellow Manchester headquartered business CloudM for support. From initial migrations through to onboarding and offboarding employees, data management and license archiving, CloudM was able to provide the simple, cost effective solutions that Village Hotels needed.

As part of the partnership with CloudM, IT staff at Village Hotels are also able to set up automated email signatures for all employees, creating a clean, automated and consistent branding solution to all email correspondence.

Following the successful implementation of a new digital workspace, Village Hotels later became one of the first businesses in the world to benefit from CloudM’s latest Archive solution - and they’re right on each other’s doorstep! Archive is a new feature within the CloudM platform which allows users to easily, automatically, and safely store and recover user data, helping businesses to remain compliant without facing the mounting user license fees associated with traditional archiving and ediscovery solutions.
