Nunthorpe event is a festive favourite thanks to local Ho Ho Homebuilder
Local five star housebuilder, Barratt Homes, kicked off the festive period in style with a Christmas event to remember at its Grey Towers Village development in Nunthorpe.
The event saw around 200 residents of the development and the wider community gather to ring in the festive season and enjoy seeing Father Christmas himself switch on the Christmas tree lights to a backdrop of carols sung by local choir group, the Nunthorpe Singers.
Local children were given the opportunity to meet Santa Claus, who spent the evening spreading season’s greetings to Grey Towers Village residents young and old.
The event’s festive centrepiece was the development’s 10ft Christmas tree, which was turned into a ‘wish tree’ this year by year three students aged 7 and 8 from nearby Chandlers Ridge Academy. Around 50 students each provided a wooden bauble for the festive fir, adorned with their hopes and wishes for the Christmas period and the year to come.
Gill Hurst, Sales Manager at Grey Towers Village, said: “It was absolutely fantastic to see so many people from the local community come together and get into the festive spirit having been unable to do so in quite the same way this time last year.
“Supporting the communities in which we build is so important to us and with the help of the students from Chandlers Ridge Academy and the Nunthorpe Singers, we were able to turn Grey Towers Village into a real winter wonderland.”
Barratt Homes’ Grey Towers Village offers a range of luxury three and four bedroom homes, built with family living in mind with space for home working. Priced from £274,495, prospective buyers can currently take advantage of a 5% deposit boost on selected homes or trade their current property in for a new home using the housebuilder’s own Part Exchange scheme.
