Business change consultancy has record breaking year for charity

2021 marked a record-breaking year for Birmingham-based business change consultancy, Entec Si, which has donated over £2,500 to local and national charities during the course of the year. A large proportion of the funds went to Thrive Birmingham, which improves the lives of vulnerable people through horticultural therapy. In March, 26 members of the Entec Si team took part in a virtual John O’Groats to Land’s End (JOGLE) challenge. Consisting initially of a 981-mile journey, the team quite literally went the extra mile by completing the return journey too, covering a distance of almost 2,000 miles. With an overall total of £1,300 raised, it was worth the extra effort. As well as raising money during 2021, Entec Si’s team members have also donated their time, helping to rejuvenate the Kings Heath gardens of Thrive Birmingham. From weeding and jet-washing to building wheelchair ramps and compost heaps, the 18 people that gave their support improved the accessibility of the outdoor space, making it an ideal spot for the charity’s clients to relax in. On a national level, Entec Si got involved with the Macmillan Coffee Morning in September, raising £243. The giving isn’t over yet for 2021 either, with the team donating food, toys and clothing to local food banks this Christmas. There are also plans for people to volunteer as mentors for UpRising next year, which is a charity that helps disadvantaged young people to build leadership skills and improve their employability, setting them up for a successful future. Anna Lane, senior consultant at Entec Si, said: “We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved in 2021. Supporting the community through CSR days and monetary donations is an important part of our company culture, and with the company itself donating money alongside individuals, we’ve had a bumper year. “We hope that 2022 will be even more successful, with a number of activities already in the pipeline, including an Entec Si litter pick. Having a team that is willing to give their all for charity is incredibly special and we certainly couldn’t have raised the amount we did without them.”
