Global B2B services provider acquires US based people intelligence specialist for £18.6m
Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC, the global B2B information-services provider, has announced the acquisition of Boardroom Insiders Inc, for a cash consideration of $25.0m (approximately £18.6m).
Boardroom Insiders is a South Carolina based provider of people intelligence to technology companies and professional services. The business has profiles on over 30,000 executives and key decision makers.
These profiles, and the intelligence provided from its proprietary analytics capability, are primarily used by sales teams for business development and account management purposes.
Boardroom Insiders will be integrated into Euromoney’s People Intelligence business which, following the acquisition, now has a Book of Business of £47m.
This scale and the capabilities developed through organic investment and the successful combination of previous acquisitions into a single platform, will be leveraged to accelerate penetration into the “high-growth technology market”.
Boardroom Insiders is a subscription business that generated sales of $4.8m (approximately £3.6m) and adjusted EBITDA of $0.7m (£522k) for the year to 31 December 2021. The acquisition is expected to be accretive to Euromoney’s People Intelligence revenue growth rate and deliver a ROI above the Group’s WACC in the second full financial year.
James Lavell, CEO People Intelligence, Euromoney, said: “We have built our People Intelligence business through both organic investment and acquisitions since 2018 and are now a market leader in people-and wealth-intelligence.
“Boardroom Insiders is another highly complementary and exciting addition. It brings a sophisticated research capability and access to new markets and customer groups, in addition to greater scale.”
