New Role For Property Investment Specialist
Leeds estate agent, HOP has promoted Neil Dawkin to director of its specialist property investment division, known as HOP Investments, which offers both new and experienced residential property investors a complete turnkey service.
Neil has more than 20 years’ experience in the property industry spanning development, investment and property management. He joined HOP in 2010 and has since established a strong track record for optimising properties for landlords and overseeing successful refurbishment projects, as well as advising clients on investment opportunities and HMO regulations.
HOP Investments specialises in sourcing tailored property deals for clients and project managing refurbishments to maximise investments and improve returns.
The division also offers development services, providing specialist advice on converting property into HMOs, commercial buildings into residential homes and acquiring development land. HOP also works with land and property owners who hold potential development sites that they want to progress.
Neil said: “Leeds remains a highly enticing location for investors and naturally offers better value for money than many other UK cities with attractive yields, against the backdrop of a strong local economy and high demand for quality rental property from both professionals and students.
“The ethos of HOP Investments is about making property investment in Leeds hassle free. As well as working with local landlords, we act for clients as far away as Australia and Singapore, searching for property that fits their risk profile, that we know will rent.
“We’ll then oversee any work that’s required through our trusted network of contractors and manage the rental process through our lettings team. This enables investors to be hands-off from anywhere in the world and in some cases, they may never even visit the property, but we keep them updated with photos, videos and reports throughout the process.
“Our investment team also work in tandem with our sales division, should an investor ever wish to sell a property. We have access to a huge network of landlords and investors, meaning we can often sell property off-market, with tenants in situ.”
Finally, Neil added: “As a result, HOP Investments has been a big growth area for us in recent years and buy to let remains one of the top performing major asset classes, so there’s no shortage of investor appetite, which makes this role a hugely exciting opportunity.”
Luke Gidney, managing director at HOP, said: “Neil is a hugely experienced property professional and is renowned for providing honest and reliable advice that genuinely adds value. This makes him popular with both new and experienced investors, regardless of whether they are looking to acquire a single rental unit or dozens of properties across Leeds.
“He will now be instrumental in us building on our client base of active investors and those considering development projects, and there’s no doubt his background and experience will continue to prove invaluable to property investors in Leeds.”
In addition to investment services, HOP provides both residential sales and lettings services across offices in Leeds city centre, Horsforth and Pudsey.
