Lincolnshire Start-Up Celebrates Growth with Enhanced Website Launch
An innovative start-up, which opened its doors in the middle of the pandemic, has seen business gradually grow against the odds and is kicking off the new year with a brand-new website and exciting plans for this year.
Eye Guide MC, a device designed by Sandra McDonough to manage the debilitating symptoms of Parkinson’s, has launched a fresh new website to make it easy and simple for the 145,000 people currently suffering with the condition in the UK, to find out how the device could help them.
The new website has been designed to improve user-experience and direct enquiries more efficiently. People who search for the device will now quickly be able to learn more about how it works, read the incredible story of Sandra, inventor and founder of the device, and find out how a knitting marker led to the remarkable invention of the lightweight over-the-ear Eye Guide MC device.
The business, headquartered in Long Sutton, Spalding where it has its central clinic for consultations and fittings, opened its doors in May last year and has since fitted more than seventy people across the UK with the device, which requires no batteries, no wires, and no surgery.
Inventor Sandra, who has Parkinson’s herself, is delighted with how far her product has traveled already.
Sandra said: “I am so pleased to have the new website up and running. It is now so easy to find out about the device and how it works. It is also heart-warming to receive feedback from people that have had a fitting and I love to hear about all the little things they can now do because of the Eye Guide MC. The new website lets us share these stories, showcases our videos about how the device works and offers lots of easy ways to get in touch to find out more.”
The website explains how the Eye Guide MC is a lightweight, discreet device that can instantly improve the debilitating symptoms of Parkinson’s by sending a new message to the brain. It provides visual sensory stimulus which helps with walking and can reduce tremors.
Since Sandra was first diagnosed with Parkinson’s on the eve of her 40th birthday, she has made it her mission to not only improve her own quality of life but to improve the lives of other Parkinson’s sufferers too. Success for the Eye Guide MC device continues to grow day by day and Sandra and her team have fielded enquiries from people across the globe.
The new user-friendly site, designed by Nottingham-based creative agency League, has a clean, clear and informative structure and layout guiding the visitor quickly to answers and information. Users will also be able to book a free consultation, contact the team directly and sign up to the email newsletter to receive updates, all at just a click of a button.
Chris McDonough, CEO of the company and Sandra’s husband, added: “We hope that from the moment people land on our new website they know they are in safe hands. We are here to support and offer guidance to those who are suffering from Parkinson’s, or might just have been diagnosed, and help them to take back control, just like Sandra has.
“We have even added a news page onto the website for family and friends looking for advice or ways of coping with the condition. I know first-hand how hard it can be to care for a loved one with Parkinson’s, but with the new website it is now so easy to contact us straight away and help your loved ones on their journey to regaining their independence.”
