Icon Outlet at The O2 reopens its doors
The O2 has announced that Icon Outlet, London’s premium outlet shopping destination, will be reopening its doors to visitors from Friday 18 March, just one month to the day since Storm Eunice damaged the iconic roof of the world’s most popular music, leisure and entertainment venue.
Following the successful reopening of both The O2 arena and the Entertainment District on 25 February, Icon Outlet will begin its phased reopening with many of its stores, including Calvin Klein, GANT, Tommy Hilfiger, JOSEPH, Ted Baker, Kurt Geiger and Clarins, welcoming visitors from 10am on Friday 18 March.
Janine Constantin-Russell, Managing Director of The O2 Entertainment District and Icon Outlet said: “We are delighted so many stores within Icon Outlet will be reopening to visitors from next week. We have worked incredibly hard to ensure our destination is safe and secure for customers, whilst also continuing to deliver an outstanding retail and leisure experience. Although a small part of Icon Outlet will remain closed for the time being, we are extremely proud to have bounced back so quickly from Storm Eunice and are confident we can quickly match and exceed the strong growth in sales experienced prior to the incident.
“Finally, we want to say a massive thank you to staff, suppliers, the public and all our other stakeholders for their support during this time. The swift reopening of The O2 arena, the Entertainment District and now Icon Outlet is a huge testament to everyone involved following this unprecedented incident.”
Since the reopening of The O2 on 25 February, The O2 arena has successfully hosted over 10 shows including the hotly anticipated headliner Dave, Simply Red and the Country to Country festival which takes place this weekend. 2022 is set to be a huge year for The O2, with a number of new retail operators at Icon Outlet and new openings in the Entertainment District soon to be announced.
