Women in Fintech Special Launched by ECOMMTALKS

The fintech community platform, ECOMMTALKS powered by ECOMMPAY – a leading international payment service provider with its own fintech ecosystem for business growth – has launched a mid-season special focused on women in fintech.

ECOMMTALKS is the only project of its kind; a closed educational community with pre-recorded online inspirational videos from a variety of influential and senior fintech, eCommerce, and IT leaders – including C-level experts. It currently offers its members over 50 online educational and motivational speeches. This season’s mission is to inspire women to build a career in fintech, and encourage them to share knowledge and create connections with other influential women in the industry. Speakers include:

  • Agneta Vornikoglo, Promise Latvia SIA’s Azure Solutions Strategist
  • Dawn Beeby, Nuapay’s Sales Director
  • Ludmila Zhelenkova, ECOMMPAY’s Head of Acquiring Division
  • Margarita Mukhmadeeva, ECOMMPAY’s Head of Product UK & Western Europe
  • Jekaterina Jaskova, ECOMMPAY’s Senior Merchant Onboarding Officer
  • Jekaterina Soltane, ECOMMPAY’s Senior Client Account Manager

The season poses questions to its participants around how women are perceived in the fintech industry, whether there are enough women in influential positions in fintech, how the situation can be changed so that more women’s voices are heard, and where the industry will be in the next five to ten years. Session topics also include: Real-Time Payments in Cloud to Drive Innovations and how faster payments have led to significant growth of Open Banking payments.

Olga Karablina, Head of Payment Product Development and Partner Relations at ECOMMPAY comments: “In the fintech industry currently, there’s a huge imbalance with only 30% of the UK’s workforce being women. Whilst women only account for 6% of CEOs within global financial technology firms. Therefore, this session exists to bring light to this imbalance and discuss how to empower more women in fintech. At ECOMMPAY, 67% of our employees are women and many of them hold management positions. If we work together, we can ensure this diversity is replicated across the industry, offering a brighter future where women’s voices are not only heard, but valued and included across the financial community.”
