Fluid power specialist acquired by R&G Fluid Power Group

Wearside based fluid power specialist, Hydraulic & Offshore Supplies, have been acquired by R&G Fluid Power Group Ltd, a move that further solidifies R&G’s position in the UK Fluid Power industry and strengthens their hydraulics division in the North East.

Hydraulic & Offshore Supplies has been based in Sunderland’s riverside area for over 30 years, having been owned by Alan Wills since 1985, the company has extensive knowledge and experience in the fluid power sector. The company pride themselves on their personal, family run approach, where every member of staff is a valued part of the company and their customers are respected and treated individually.

Commenting on selling the business, Alan Wills said, “Hydraulic & Offshore Supplies has been such a large part of my life for over 30 years, this was not an easy decision to make; however, the ethos and reputation of the R&G Fluid Power Group reassured me that the commitment of quality, hard work and personal approach to our staff and customers will continue.

I would like to thank all of the staff who have helped the business maintain many years of success and wish them all the very best for the future with the R&G Fluid Power Group. I’ll now be getting used to putting my feet up and spending some well deserved time with my family.“

Hydraulic & Offshore Supplies provides hydraulic hose, fittings, instrumentation and pipeline materials to businesses across the UK and internationally; their trade counter also carries out ‘while-you-wait’ hydraulic hose replacements, provides guidance, advice and has thousands of parts in stock.

Managing Director Don Fenwick and Director, Paul Taylor, will continue in their roles and look forward to working within the R&G Group. Don, who has been with HOS for over 25 years, commented, “This is a great opportunity for us to grow the business even further and solidify our reputation within the North East as the number one fluid power specialist. We’re looking forward to continuing to provide a first-class customer experience and are excited for what the future holds.”
