Leeds based data consultancy looking to expand its business after a record year
Leeds based data consultancy The Oakland Group, have announced record growth with its order book growing by 60 per cent in the last 12 months.
The company, which supports a wide range of clients, has seen its consultancy team expand from 20 to 40 people in the last year. This follows the announcement that The Oakland Group are awaiting B Corp accreditation, an international standard for managing social and environmental impact.
Commenting on the expansion, Richard Corderoy, managing director of The Oakland Group, said:
“Companies of all sizes are looking for data and technology to help them realise growth and cost efficiencies. It is driving our rapid expansion, and we have ambitious plans to position The Oakland Group as a national centre of data excellence.
“Leeds is establishing itself as a hotspot for data talent with internationally renowned companies … We are excited to be part of this growing community by supporting young people to develop their data skills and expertise with training and work experience.”
The firm has recently annouced that it is hoping to recruit a further 40 people across the next year, to help support its growing business.
Richard Corderoy concluded: “The data industry is moving away from discussions about AI and big data to delivering solutions that are driving digital transformation and creating more efficient and productive businesses across the UK.
“We teamed up with the University of Warwick to launch a report into the benefits of using predictive analytics in the construction industry. It showed the better use of data in infrastructure project delivery could save the sector £23bn a year.”
