This week's London appointments

This week’s round up of London appointments includes Shakespeare Martineau, Ampa and Adform. Read on to find out more.

Catherine Rustomji, Shakespeare Martineau

Leading full service law firm Shakespeare Martineau, which has an office hub in London, has welcomed specialist partner Catherine Rustomji to head up its national charity team.

For more than 20 years, Catherine has been exclusively advising charities, social enterprises and not for profit organisations, specialising in charity law and governance, not for profit legal structures, trustee training and board development.

Catherine has joined Shakespeare Martineau after five years as a partner and charities practice head at Browne Jacobson. Prior to this, she worked at DWF, Hempsons, Dickinson Dees and Stone King, and was a charity trustee for Yorkshire Cancer Research.

Catherine said: “Shakespeare Martineau is a focused firm, which has a clear strategy for its people and itself, so I am delighted to be working at the core of a strong team to offer a complete service to our charities and not for profit clients.”

“Operating in the charity and not for profit sector has never been more challenging or more stimulating, with social, economic and political upheavals, scarce resources, and mounting needs and expectations.

Andrew Wilkinson, partner at Shakespeare Martineau, added: “We are delighted to welcome Catherine to the firm. Her experience, knowledge and expertise will be a real asset as we look to grow our charities and not for profit offering, and Catherine will be at the forefront of leading this.”

(L - R): Simon Robinson and Martin Usher, Ampa

As part of its accelerated growth strategy, national legal and professional services group Ampa has promoted partners Simon Robinson and Martin Usher to head up its London office hub.

Shakespeare Martineau real estate partner Simon and Lime Solicitors personal injury partner Martin will lead plans to substantially grow the city hub, inspired by the group’s aspiration to become one of the most admired top 30 legal and professional groups by 2025.

Ampa CEO Sarah Walker-Smith said: “Location means a lot to our clients and, unlike other firms that are retreating from London offices, we are expanding. As well as widening our talent pool, this benefits our clients by giving them direct access to local legal experts, who are backed by a full-service national professional services group.

“Having two office heads reflects the potential for growth in the London market, and the breadth of our brands and services we provide in the capital.

“We look forward to Martin and Simon unlocking that potential by working closely with team leaders and our business operations teams to continue to evolve our London hub’s dynamic culture, positive environment and people engagement.”

Ampa, which has pending B Corporation status, also includes cyber security company CSS Assure and uninsured loss recovery experts Corclaim, as well as Marrons Planning. All Ampa brands are recruiting lateral hires and teams, and the group is proactively looking for like-minded businesses to join the group, both in London and across the country.

(L - R): Vicky Foster and Matthew Morgan, Adform

Adform, the global, independent, and fully integrated advertising platform built for modern marketing, has appointed Vicky Foster as global reseller partnerships director and Matthew Morgan as global agency development director.

The new hires, who will be based in the company’s London office, signal a period of global growth for the company and will enable Adform to continue to deliver superior advertising activation in the changing identity landscape.

Vicky Foster is a commercially driven digital leader and joins Adform with over 20 years’ experience. Prior to Adform, she was digital commercial director for Bauer Media, where she played a leading role in negotiating agency trading agreements and increasing revenue.

Matthew Morgan was previously Manager Partner, Head of Product at Dentsu, where he led data and supply product development for the holding group. Prior to this, he was the Managing Partner, Head of Digital at UM London (a media agency owned by IPG Mediabrands UK & Ireland).

Vicky commented: “My priority at Adform will be to lead the company’s Channel Partner Program, developing the global commercial strategy and framework that will enable Adform to further enhance opportunities around channel reseller partners and setting them up for success.”

Matthew added: “Adform is an esteemed player in the adtech industry and I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to this role, specifically to build lasting relationships with agencies and help them drive growth and competitive advantage for their clients.”
