The North Tyneside Business Forum is inviting businesses from all across the North East to hear from and network with local start-ups and regional shining stars who will give business tips to help them “Spring Back to Business” at an event in Wallsend on 26 April.

The keynote speaker is Jason Knights, Managing Director of Blue Kangaroo Design, a small, Gateshead based design agency that works specifically with entertainment character licensing and toy industry clients all over the world.

Now celebrating their fifteenth birthday, the company specialises in brand strategy, design, digital and retail. They have generated growth particularly in the United States where they work with brands including Lucas Film, The Walt Disney Company, NBC Universal Studios, Mattel, Tomy, Warner Bros as well as many others. Jason will chronicle his path to success which started as a soldier in the British Army right up to working with some of the biggest brands on the planet.

Also speaking will be Chair of the North Tyneside Business Forum, Karen Goldfinch. Karen is the owner of two businesses, Your Business Pilot and Made to Treasure and she will be sharing some of her “navigating your way to success tips.” With a passion for people, connecting and supporting business and communities, Karen will talk through some of the hurdles life throws at people in business and the best way to manage and survive after hitting those bumpy roads.

Workshops on “How photography can help you stand out in an online competitive marketplace” will also be delivered by Lauren McWilliams from For You Photography while Mandy Barker from Sail Creative will discuss the core pillars of branding, what you need to elevate your brand online and offline, and how to harness storytelling through what you do.

Karen Goldfinch, Chair of the Forum said:

“After a tough two years overcoming challenges, now is the time for business to spring back into the market place. Our speakers and workshops will inspire and motivate and I’d urge any business looking to spring forward to attend this event.”
