£6bn build-to-rent developer partners with “pioneering” Leeds creative production company
The UK’s largest build-to-rent developer and operator Moda Living has appointed Leeds based creative production company Northern Artillery to handle creative, digital, 3D and film requirements across its portfolio of rental neighbourhoods across the UK.
With a pipeline of 18,400 homes worth a combined £6bn, Moda is delivering rental neighbourhoods from Edinburgh to Brighton, backed by leading global investors. Under its partnership with Moda, Northern Artillery will work alongside Moda’s in-house marketing and design team to produce creative assets for each neighbourhood and living platform.
As well as Moda’s build-to-rent neighbourhoods, the partnership will also include new single family homes brand Casa by Moda, which is on track to deliver 1,000 new suburban homes for rent by 2025.
The creative assets produced by Moda and Northern Artillery will incorporate and reflect Moda’s core brand principles of “outstanding customer experience, ESG, wellbeing-focused lifestyles and using technology to deliver all of that and more”.

Output will include a full range of design collateral from brochures to hoarding, content for social media feeds, brand videos, graphics, websites and CGIs for new Moda and Casa by Moda neighbourhoods.
Stuart Baker, director at Northern Artillery, said: “Working with Moda has given us a real opportunity to demonstrate our capabilities and skill set as a creative production company. Not only the quality of the output, but the delivery and storytelling around Moda’s BTR and ESG proposition.
“We work across several key complementary sectors that bring pioneering creative thinking to our work within the built environment for our property clients.”
Oscar Brooks, director at Moda Living, added: “Northern Artillery really understands our goals and vision as a developer and operator.
“Moda’s branding and the values intrinsic to that brand are a crucial aspect of what we do, which is why we’re delighted to be working with Northern Artillery to produce high quality collateral that will continue to support the growth of the Moda brand.”
Moda Living is operational in five UK cities including Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh and Birmingham, and is working on projects in a further 20. Its suburban family homes platform ‘Casa By Moda’ is currently building its first neighbourhood, with the business expected to be on site with 700 new homes by the end of 2022.
