Luxury hot tub and spa retailer opens new Midlands showroom via £500k HSBC funding package

Birmingham based hot tub, pool and outdoor living retailer Hammond Home and Leisure is set to open a new showroom following a £500k funding package from HSBC UK.

The support from HSBC UK will enable Hammond Home and Leisure to open a new showroom of up to 14,000 sq ft in Acocks Green, which will house five swim spas and up to 50 hot tubs. The new showroom will also see the business create five new jobs, including a sales operator and warehouse operatives.

In addition to the new showroom, Hammond Home and Leisure has used the funding from HSBC UK to invest in a new supply chain, which will allow the company to deliver products in 10 days so that customers can receive their hot tubs and spas sooner.

Adam Docherty, director at Hammond Home and Leisure, commented: “We’re delighted to be opening a new showroom to showcase our extensive range of luxury hot tubs and mosaic spas.

“Over the past few years, we’ve seen great demand for our outdoor living ranges, and the support from HSBC UK has been invaluable in allowing us to invest in our product range to meet demand and, in turn, grow the business.”

Pav Dheensa, Relationship Manager at HSBC UK, said: “The demand for outdoor living products has increased heavily in the last few years with families choosing to staycation and transform their gardens into entertainment spaces.

“We’re proud to be supporting Hammond Home and Leisure by funding this new showroom, which will showcase the company’s range of hot tubs, swim spas, and outdoor living furniture.”

A study by The British and Irish Spa and Hot Tub Association found that one in 10 households in the UK have a hot tub at home, with hydrotherapy and the rise of staycations cited as the most common reasons for households to invest in a hot tub or spa.
