This week’s Yorkshire appointments

This week’s round up of Yorkshire appointments includes Hägen Wolf, HubRx and the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce. Read on to find out more.

Richard Robinson and Olivia Hudson, Hägen Wolf

Leeds based property litigation firm Hägen Wolf has appointed a new partner and expanded its team following a period of record growth.

Dilapidations and telecoms lawyer Richard Robinson joins the firm from Knights PLC as a partner. He brings over 14 years of experience as a specialist property litigator.

The firm has also welcomed Olivia Hudson, who joins from Plexus Law as a paralegal and Richard Costello is appointed as marketing director, while Daniel Troman joins as a marketing assistant.

Matthew Tollefson, HubRx

Leeds based HubRx has appointed Matthew Tollefson as chief financial officer and Karl Wooldridge as operations director as it prepares to launch the UK’s first “state-of-the-art” automated pharmacy hub for independent community pharmacists.

Matthew (pictured left) joins the HubRx team, headed up by CEO Daniel Lee the founder of Pharmacy2U, from Leeds-based corporate finance firm Sentio Partners. He has also held positions with Mazars, Ernst & Young and is a trustee and treasurer for charity, Simon on the Streets.

Matthew adds: “Joining HubRx was an offer I could not pass up. The pedigree driving the business is second to none and it’s a true example of disruption to make a positive change to the lives of pharmacists and patients.”

Karl brings more than 14 years of sector experience to his new role having held key positions with Phoenix Medical Supplies and Lloyds Pharmacy. He said: “I’ve joined the business at an exciting time – we’re on the cusp of launching something truly innovative and game changing.

“HubRx is pioneering, our approach will transform community pharmacy. We’re investing in cutting-edge technology to create an automated dispensing hub that will create capacity for pharmacists, allow them to grow and expand their skills.”

Daniel Lee adds: “We’re delighted to welcome Karl and Matthew to the growing team at HubRx as we move ever closer to opening the first state-of-the-art automated pharmacy hub for independent community pharmacists.”

Rachel McDerby and Romaysaa Monfort, The Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce

The Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce has expanded its events and membership team with the appointment of a new membership and events coordinator, Rachel McDerby, to drive the Chamber’s offering following a return to physical events.

Rachel will be leading on the launch of the Chamber’s first ever membership awards programme and the popular annual event, Kirklees Business Conference. Rachel previously held the role of membership coordinator for over six years at the Chamber before pursuing other ventures in 2019.

She said: “I am delighted to be returning to the Chamber at such a pivotal time. We’re returning to a fully physical events calendar after the pandemic, launching the Chamber’s first ever membership awards and Kirklees Business Conference is on the horizon after a two-year hiatus.

“I hope that I can support the team and truly make a difference to the Chamber’s offering of connecting, supporting and representing our membership.”

Rachel is joined on the team by new events and membership assistant Romaysaa Monfort. Romaysaa joins the Chamber under the Government’s Kickstart Scheme which provides six-month work placements for young people to support them on to the career ladder.

Martin Hathaway, managing director at the Mid Yorkshire Chamber, added: “I am thrilled to welcome Rachel and Romaysaa to the team. It has been a tough two years for businesses and our local communities can benefit from Chamber support now more than ever.”
