Housebuilder curates Platinum Jubilee themed balcony “fit for any royal” at Wimbledon development
To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend from June 2 to 5, Galliard Homes has curated a themed balcony at its development Wimbledon Grounds “fit for any royal”.
Wimbledon Grounds, a development of 602 one, two and three-bedroom apartments on Plough Lane in Wimbledon, offers many homes with outdoor balconies which provide what the housebuilder describes as “the perfect setting for homeowners to host Platinum Jubilee celebrations”.
Adorned with royal and British themed decorations in red, white, blue and purple colour schemes, the Galliard Interior Design Team has cultivated the Jubilee celebration area on the balcony of one of the luxurious three-bedroom apartments in Stadia 3, one of two apartment buildings in the development.
To emphasise the meaning behind the balcony, Galliard has wrapped the sliding glass doors of the balcony with a film which depicts a corgi dog, the Queen’s favourite, dressed in a royal gown and crown sat on a luxurious floral armchair.

The backdrop image is emblazoned with the phrase “The Platinum celebration in style” along with the official Platinum Jubilee logo and Galliard’s own 30th anniversary logo either side, a celebration of both anniversaries.
Emily Galman, interior designer at Galliard, said: “We are thrilled with our Jubilee themed Balcony at Wimbledon Grounds. We wanted to create a space that was modern and contemporary whilst still honouring the traditional aspect that the Jubilee represents.
“Using a mixture of modern furnishings, hanging lights and plants combined with traditional British memorabilia, we turned the balcony into a fun summertime retreat in time for the Jubilee bank holiday weekend.”
David Galman, sales director at Galliard Homes, added: “We are delighted to be honouring the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in such a unique and fun way.
“Many of the stylish apartments at Wimbledon Grounds have private balconies which not only provide fantastic views but give homeowners the space to host parties for friends and family and enjoy the outdoor space while being in an apartment building- our wonderfully curated balcony exemplifies this.”
