Slim Chickens to spread its wings at Liverpool ONE
Grosvenor has today announced that Slim Chickens, the rapidly growing American dining brand operated in the UK by Boparan Restaurant Group (BRG), has chosen Liverpool ONE for its city debut. Set to open later this year, the 5,000 sq ft flagship restaurant adds further diversity to the destination’s casual dining offer and positions Liverpool ONE at the forefront of emerging culinary trends.
Slim Chickens Liverpool ONE will be located on The Terrace, adjacent to Las Iguanas and Five Guys, and will encompass over 175 covers, including an al-fresco dining area. The new site will offer the brand’s full menu, including their signature fresh, buttermilk marinated, hand-breaded and cooked-to-order chicken tenders.
Robert Deacon, Senior Asset Manager, Grosvenor, commented: “The signing of Slim Chickens at Liverpool ONE stands to strengthen the destination’s diverse F&B offering, and we are pleased to have secured the city debut for the fast-growing brand. Sitting comfortably alongside the likes of Five Guys, Yard & Coop and Byron, the signing of Slim Chickens marks the appeal of Liverpool ONE as a key destination for brands to grow, whilst demonstrating our active response to growing consumer demand for fast-casual dining options.”
Paul Gilligan, Property Director, Boparan Restaurant Group, added: “At Slim Chickens we are all about bringing fresh, handmade food as well as a dose of Southern Hospitality to social, community-driven locations, which is exactly what Liverpool ONE represents for us. We are experiencing great success with the brand in the UK and are very much looking forward to launching our next Slim Chickens flagship site at Liverpool ONE later this year following longstanding interest in the destination.”
The announcement follows several hospitality and leisure-focused openings at Liverpool ONE this year: Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen has opened on Paradise Street, local coffee shop, Bean, has relocated to a permanent location on Manesty’s Lane, and premium golf simulation concept On the Green has launched on The Terrace.
Metis and Starka advised Liverpool ONE.
