Hampshire housebuilder bolsters marketing team with two new appointments

A Hampshire housebuilder has appointed two new members of staff to join its marketing team in Southampton.

Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ Southampton division, which is building new homes across the county, has taken on Tamsin Nichols (22) and Rebecca Edwards (25) at its Hedge End HQ, and the new duo are already getting settled into their new roles.

Appointed to help strengthen the housebuilder’s marketing team, both Tamsin and Rebecca are excited to learn more about the construction industry.

Tamsin, Barratt Homes Marketing Co-ordinator said: “I am really looking forward to working with the team and gaining experience and knowledge in marketing and property development.

“I came from a sales role so my skills will complement my new position in the marketing team at Barratt and David Wilson Homes.”

For Rebecca, who has already had experience working in the housebuilding industry, with Bargate Homes, her new position of Marketing Executive with Barratt Homes means she can take on a new challenge and progress within an industry that she enjoys.

She said: “After four years in my previous role, I know the housebuilding sector is where I want to be. I was ready to take on a new challenge and am really looking forward to learning more about the corporate side of housebuilding with Barratt and David Wilson.”

Megan Hamlyn, Barratt Homes Marketing Manager, Southampton Division, said: “We were very impressed with both Tamsin and Rebecca during the application process, and we are delighted to be welcoming them to our team here in Southampton.

“With the growing demand for housing across the south coast, Barratt and David Wilson Homes continues to build excellent quality homes in the Hampshire area that is much needed to help create a housing supply. As a result, we’ve been able to grow our resources within the sales and marketing department here in the Southampton division.

“Tamsin and Rebecca have already shown us what they are both capable of, and we are keen to help them both develop their careers further.”

Both Tamsin and Rebecca will be working with Barratt in its provision of brand-new homes for people across the region, and both are keen to be a part of this extremely important milestone for buyers.

Rebecca added: “Buying a new home is a huge part of anyone’s life and isn’t a decision that’s taken lightly. Barratt have a large range of homes on offer, and I’m looking forward to being involved in the process that helps match a buyer to their ideal home.”
