Stratford and Romford homebuyers among those set to benefit from Crossrail impact

Homebuyers who were quick to move to new Crossrail locations are set to reap the rewards, according to Bellway London.

Crossrail’s imminent arrival has sparked renewed excitement in areas of the capital that will benefit from the new rail network. Bellway London has been building along the route for a number of years, with more new homes to follow.

Ian Gorst, regional chairman for Bellway London and South East, said: “Transport connections are a major consideration for homebuyers in London. Choosing a location which is easily accessible from other parts of the city is therefore a high priority for those looking to move to or relocate within the capital.

Bellway London specialises in apartment developments in Zones 2 to 6, where homes are attainable for first-time buyers and there is said to be potential for future growth. The developer typically invests in the areas where it builds, providing infrastructure for the wider communities as well as its own residents.

Legacy Wharf in Stratford and Roe Wood Park in Romford are among the Bellway London sites located close to Elizabeth Line stations, both on the eastern section of the network which will become fully operational later this year.

Ian added: “The prospect of having Crossrail on their doorstep has undoubtedly been one of the attractions for potential buyers at Legacy Wharf and Roe Wood Park, as well as our now-completed Bluenote Apartments development in Hayes, which has a station on the western section of the Elizabeth Line.

“At Roe Wood Park in Romford, our buyers will have access to trains from Harold Wood Station to Liverpool Street that take just 35 minutes. That journey would previously have taken almost 90 minutes with multiple changes.
