The Pimlico Group appoints new CEO Mark Bridges - following acquisition by Neighborly
London’s leading independent servicing and maintenance company, The Pimlico Group, formerly known as Pimlico Plumbers, today announced the appointment of Mark Bridges as its new CEO.
Mark, who joins from Domestic & General, has ambitious plans for The Pimlico Group, following its acquisition in September 2021 by Neighborly, a US home services group.
Under Mark’s leadership, priorities for 2022 include investing in a new, more sustainable, fleet of vans and growing The Pimlico Group’s customer offering for planned home improvement projects alongside its continued focus on emergency call-outs - offering the same high quality service and rapid response rates across both services.
Other focuses for this year include launching a new website to improve customer experience, investing in the office space to foster workplace collaboration and wellbeing, and enhancing the IT infrastructure to support the contact centre and engineer teams.
Mark has also appointed a new management team to support the business’s growth ambitions and brought in a renewed emphasis on learning and development to help upskill and improve capabilities.
Mark, who holds an MBA in Business from the University of Nottingham and a BA Honours degree from Queen Mary University of London, has over 15 years of experience in the home services and repairs industry. He has previously held senior positions at European and US businesses, including International CEO Board Director as a member of Domestic & General’s Group Executive Committee, Commercial Director at HomeServe and Business Change Manager at Indesit.
In his former roles Mark, who has completed 26 London marathons, has managed businesses of more than 400 staff and revenues of £170m. Mark has led businesses through structural change, including launching in US markets, overseeing European expansion plans and adapting business strategies, delivering a 23% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for Domestic & General.
Mark Bridges, CEO of Pimlico Plumbers says: “I’m looking forward to leading such a renowned and trusted brand as The Pimlico Group. Over the last 40 years, Pimlico has established itself as the industry leader in providing unrivalled services to its residential and commercial customers in Greater London, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“Working alongside the exceptional team at Pimlico, I am focused on delivering the business’s exciting growth plans across all our servicing and maintenance trades while remaining true to our founding principles of putting customers first. This includes a commitment to enhance our offering across both planned project and emergency work.
“With Neighborly’s backing, investment in the technology and infrastructure will provide all our stakeholders with the support needed to continue delivering the premium and efficient service The Pimlico Group has become known for.”
