Former Eurostar brand designer turned entrepreneur wins top Hertfordshire business award
A new marketing and brand design agency based in Hertfordshire’s Kings Langley is celebrating success at the Town and County Business Champions awards. Creative Stripes, founded by entrepreneur Lydia Berman, won the county’s best business top prize in a glamorous event at the Copthorne Tara Hotel in May.
Alongside a who’s who of Hertfordshire’s small business success stories, the competition saw Creative Stripes firm best fellow entrants – of small businesses with less than 50 employees – from across the county.
While Berman led the design team at Eurostar for 10 years, her company Creative Stripes helped local Hertfordshire businesses small and large through Covid.
From startups like, ByKathryn perfumes to favourite county brands like Lussmanns restaurants, Cleveland Scott York law firm and Zwilling kitchenware, Lydia and her team provide a range of brand, design and marketing services. She was able to advise companies not just on marketing and design opportunities, but also how to pivot during the pandemic and create new revenue streams. The mum of 19 months old Harry, Berman has more than 20 years industry experience and started Creative Stripes in September 2019 and has quickly built a thriving business.
She said: “I’m so excited to win the Town and County Business Champions award. They have developed their judging over 16 years and the judges are all top business people within their chosen arena. And it’s great that they not only recognise the work Creative Stripes has done, but also how important marketing strategy, branding and design - from print to digital - is to businesses in Hertfordshire. Our work helps businesses thrive.”
