This week’s round up of national appointments includes Blueberry, EnerMech and Actual Experience. Read on to find out more.

Katherine Manuel and Emily Eitches, Blueberry

Blueberry, the metaverse’s leading fashion label, today announced the appointment of two new hires, Katherine Manuel as chief operating officer and Emily Eitches as head of business development. The hires complete an all-female senior leadership team as the company continues to revolutionise digital fashion.

As an accomplished executive, Katherine brings with her “deep and varied experiences” spanning technology, strategy and innovation. After receiving her MBA from Duke University, Katherine climbed the professional ladder at Thomson Reuters, where she spent her final four years as Senior Vice President, running Innovation.

She commented: “It is a really exciting time for Blueberry Entertainment, and innovation more broadly. Metaverses open up new frontiers for creators in ways that we have yet to experience.”

A graduate of Princeton University, Emily began her career working on the Centurion and Platinum Card at American Express. She then served in leadership roles at New York City based startups Physique 57, SLT, and ORA. Most recently, Emily served as a Director at Tory Burch.

Emily said: “I am thrilled to have joined such a strong female leadership team and to have the opportunity to help Blueberry define the rapidly changing digital fashion industry.”

The two new hires complete Blueberry’s all-female senior leadership team, joining Mishi McDuff, CEO and Founder, and Ashley Hopkins, Chief Creative Officer. Hopkins is the former founder and Co-CEO of Reign and Flite, two of the largest digital fashion brands still active today.

Kenny Anderson, EnerMech

EnerMech has strengthened its senior leadership team with the promotion of Kenny Anderson to the newly created role of strategy director. He will be accountable for implementing strategies across the group with a focus on workforce capability development and increasing end market activities.

Based in Aberdeen, Kenny started his career in corporate finance working for Simmons & Company International. On joining EnerMech in 2014, he spent three years working in contractual and commercial roles before moving into a corporate position where he was part of the transaction team involved in securing investment from parent company, Carlyle Group.

He commented: “This is an exciting time for EnerMech as we look to sustainably build our business aligned to our established goals.

“The crux of our strengths lies in the efficient integrated solutions our multi-disciplined workforce can deliver by combining experts, equipment, IP, and technology across the entire asset lifecycle for complex energy and infrastructure projects.

“I’m very much looking forward to collaborating with our regional managers to create strategies to deliver on our growth targets, build further momentum and uncover ways in which we can do things more effectively and inventively for our customers.”

Christian Brown, EnerMech CEO, added: “The addition of Kenny to the senior leadership team as our first strategy director ensures that we can yield his dynamic expertise and agile strategies across the global business as we empower our people further and build on the solid foundations that have already been established at EnerMech.”

Scarlet Jeffers and Roy Jugessur, Actual Experience

Actual Experience, the digital workplace management system provider, has announced the appointment of Scarlet Jeffers as chief product officer and Roy Jugessur as chief revenue officer. Their joint experience is said to be “key to the company achieving its transition from startup to scale-up”.

Roy brings 15 years of senior leadership experience across revenue facing teams. Previous roles include Experian Plc, and spearheading three scaleups, across a wide range of disciplines and markets, specifically software, SaaS, and Cloud solutions.

Roy comments: “While we enter the post-pandemic era, hybrid working is set to stay. However, currently, the standard of analysis of the employee digital experience doesn’t meet the business requirements needed to truly determine the landscape of digital equality and operational efficiency across the hybrid workplace.”

Roy joins Scarlet Jeffers, who leads product and development strategy for Actual and is responsible for driving an understanding of the needs of customers, the wider market, and the analyst community.

Scarlet has both founded and scaled new products as well as leading significant market pivots, and is highly experienced in achieving product-market fit. Most recently she led the creation and development of Clario, a cyber security SaaS vendor, and has previously worked at both Apple and EY.

She said: “I’m incredibly excited to be part of the Actual team, deeply believing in our mission to make the digital world work for everyone. The market is primed for a category disruptor in the hybrid working experience space, with businesses of all shapes and sizes embracing the new ways of working.”
