Mincoffs assists in key telecommunications acquisition

A leading Yorkshire telecommunication group has saved a Dorset business from administration, with legal support from Mincoffs Solicitors.

Northern Telecom, based in Leeds, has completed the acquisition of Utility Point Telecoms, which trades as Up Telecoms in Poole.

The move, which includes the business and all assets, will ensure that vital client services can continue without disruption.

Northern Telecom works with hundreds of businesses across the UK and has clients in a variety of sectors, including recruitment, taxi firms and technology.

The company has more than 25 years’ experience in telecommunications and IT and Jon Graves, Managing Director at Northern Telecom, is thrilled to welcome Up Telecoms to the group.

“Up Telecoms provides communications solutions to a huge number of industries so it was important that we completed a smooth acquisition so their current clients weren’t affected,” he said.

“Mincoffs were fantastic every step of the way and Chris Hughes made himself readily available for any issues or queries we had.”

Jesmond-based Mincoffs Solicitors acted on behalf of Northern Telecom to manage the acquisition, providing expert legal support and assistance with the new business structure.
