Housebuilder breaks ground at Hayling Island development
Work has started on a brand-new development on Hayling Island, which will create 195 new homes in the stunning coastal location.
Barratt Homes has commenced construction on its Pebble Walk development, which, once complete, will feature a mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties, including 58 affordable homes on Sinah Lane, South Hayling.
The development, located less than a mile from the beach, has a great choice of local schools, shops and restaurants close by, and is within easy reach of the nearby cities of Portsmouth and Chichester. There’s also the Hayling Billy trail that winds through fields next to the sea for stunning walks and biking routes, as well as a bridal path for horses.
With work underway, Barratt Homes is working hard to lay roads and infrastructure at the site, with the building of home foundations to follow. And buyers will be able to secure a property off-plan from 30th June from the housebuilder’s Saxon Corner development on Havant Road, Emsworth PO10 7LF.
Tammy Bishop, Barratt Homes Sales Director, Southampton Division, said: “We’re very excit-ed to see work progressing here and I’m really looking forward to seeing the development take shape over the coming months.
“Pebble Walk is an idyllic place to call home, with Hayling Island offering plenty to do, but also an escape from the hustle and bustle of city living. When we release the first set of homes here, I’m expecting a high demand from buyers in the area.”
Pebble Walk will be a collection of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes on the Island. The development is a five-minute walk to three miles of ‘Blue Flag’ beaches and is close to all es-sential amenities. It has an excellent choice of local independent shops and restaurants nearby as well as ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated schools. And, with the M27 within easy reach, the devel-opment also boasts great transport links.
