Muse and Thirteen’s affordable homes at Northshore progress following Tees Valley combined Authority injection
Leading town and city-centre developer, Muse, along with registered provider, Thirteen Group, and Homes England, the government’s housing and regeneration agency have recently started on site delivering 113 affordable homes at Northshore, Stockton-on-Tees, thanks to a £1.34m Brownfield Housing Fund grant, through the Tees Valley combined authority.
The new homes, which will be energy efficient and available for both shared ownership and affordable rent, follow on from the successful delivery of three previous phases and are due to complete around April 2024.
Employment opportunities both on site, as well as contracts secured within the local supply chain will be a priority, with hundreds of jobs and apprenticeships created as a result of the new scheme.
The wider Northshore scheme, which is less than a mile from Stockton high street, is being delivered by Muse, in partnership with Homes England. The 56-acre gateway development will have provided in the region of 350 homes across a range of tenures and has already delivered 80,000 sq ft of offices, a new 128-bedroom Hampton by Hilton hotel with a number of public spaces created.
