Pegasus Search & Selection acquires a key stake in Veritas Recruitment Solutions
Leeds based recruitment agency, Pegasus Search & Selection has acquired a 50 per cent stake in Veritas Recruitment Solutions, which will significantly strengthen the offering of both companies in the renewable energy sector.
Veritas Recruitment Solutions was founded in Leeds by managing director, Chris Tinson in 2011 and has established a strong reputation in the renewables sector, as well as working in the construction and manufacturing industries. Pegasus Search & Selection is headed up by Paul Micallef and predominantly works across the property and construction sectors.
Following the acquisition, the combined business now employs a 20-strong team based at Rawdon Court, on Leeds Road in Rawdon, which Pegasus expanded into earlier this year. The company is on target to turnover more than £1.2m this year.
Veritas has now rebranded to Pegasus Zero and is focused on recruiting exclusively for zero carbon construction companies, renewable energy developers and those businesses driving the UK towards its net zero targets.
Chris Tinson said: “Pegasus is a highly respected name in construction recruitment and joining forces with them gives us much stronger delivery capabilities, which will benefit clients as we strive to attract the best talent to work on a wide range of leading zero carbon developments and renewable energy projects throughout the UK and beyond.
“The future of energy is in renewable generation and as we look to the future as a country, our clients are leading the change. We’re recruiting for clients who are working on some of the biggest and most innovative renewable energy projects in the UK.
“As we face a seemingly endless wave of energy price rises, renewable energy and onsite generation are top of mind for almost everyone. Couple this with businesses’ responsibilities to work towards their own net zero targets and you can see why it’s such an important time for the industry.
“As a result, there is a gap in the market for a company with Pegasus Zero’s credentials, which has a vast amount of expertise and is solely focussed on the renewables sector. This makes it an exciting time for us.”
Paul Micallef added: “Their business complements and further strengthens our existing work throughout the construction and property sectors, which makes this acquisition an ideal fit for us, our clients, and the renewables sector as a whole. Not only that, in Chris, we further strengthen our management team at a critical time in our growth.”
