Automotive conference looks set to be a driver for growth
Specialist hydraulic equipment supplier, Hydraulic & Offshore Supplies (HOS) are continuing their growth plans as they confirm they will exhibit at this year’s North East Automotive Alliance expo.
HOS, who have been based on Sunderland’s riverside for over 30 years, were acquired by the R&G Fluid Power Group of companies in March 2022, this has opened further opportunities for the established business with increased buying power and the ability to work with other members of the group to offer a comprehensive hydraulic and fluid power solution.
Supplying and installing hydraulic hose, fittings and instrumentation to industries such as automotive, oil & gas, subsea, renewable energy and the ship repair markets, attending the prestigious expo will reinforce their position as a leading fluid power supplier both in the north east and the UK.
The NEAA expo is an industry highlight for companies operating within the region’s automotive supply chain and will take place at the Beacon of Light in Sunderland, only one mile from HOS’ office and workshop.
The 2021 event attracted over 670 delegates and 124 exhibitors, providing an opportunity to network and gain industry insights into the key themes of electrification and industrial digitalisation with further enhancements planned for 2022. Meet the buyer appointments will also be taking place throughout the day, helping to facilitate vital business connections for the supply chain.
HOS managing director, Don Fenwick, commented on the exhibition attendance, “We’re delighted to be exhibiting at this year’s NEAA expo, the event has a fantastic reputation and helps to cement our place as a leading fluid power supplier in the north east. As the expo is being held only a stone’s throw from our office and workshop, it’s also great for us to support events taking place in Sunderland.
Having been acquired by the R&G Fluid Power group of companies earlier this year, our growth plans have continued at pace with an increase in our sales and marketing activity to compliment the relationships we now have with fellow companies within the group and an increase in our buying capabilities.
Being based in the north east, close to Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, the automotive sector makes up a large proportion of our customer base therefore we’re looking forward to showcasing the continuing investments in the business, meeting with new and existing contacts and networking with fellow exhibitors.“
