Coventry company lands coveted award
A Coventry-based company which provides leading industry Safety & Security Training has won a coveted educational award just a year after their rebrand.
Intuitus has been named winner of the “Innovation Award” at the prestigious Education Awards in Birmingham for online learner materials and resources that have been used to support and enrich historically vocationally courses, launched as a result of the pandemic.
The Learner Management Platform (LMS) has been used to support learners through their Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety – an industry standard requirement for those working within the events sector.
The LMS was launched at the start of the pandemic and allowed Intuitus to adapt their training ensuring learners were able to continue with their qualifications through lockdown restrictions.
Virtual classroom sessions along with bespoke online reading materials were used to support and guide learners through their qualification. This has since been altered to a blended approach.
Jemma Baillie, Chief Operating Officer at Intuitus, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be named winners in the Education Awards.
“The pandemic posed a challenge for so many industries and for us – given a lot of training is face-to-face and very hands on – we had to adapt to find new ways of learning.
“Our online approach really helped to get learners engaged and is something we’ve continued to use as part of a blended approach to allow learners the flexibility to learn at their own pace.
“More than 4,500 people have been enrolled onto our online learner platform since 2020 and it is making a huge impact for our learners.”
The company is part of the Stadium Group – a leading national event management specialist based in Coventry – and traded as Stadium Traffic Management Training Ltd before launching as Intuitus in 2021.
Local firm Opus Marketing was enlisted to support on their re-launch and branding, with a new website due to launch in the coming weeks.
The company has fast established itself as the go-to provider of premium training services for customer safety and security both in the UK and internationally, and is the prime training provider for Premier League football clubs including Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Jemma added: “Over the last 18 months we made the strategic decision to rebrand the company to support our continued growth and a number of major client wins.
“The launch has allowed us to support our clients to convey their own messaging through bespoke training programmes
“Our relationship with Stadium allows us to truly understand all operational areas of safety and security while building a vast bank of knowledge and experience for our team, so we are really excited to continue our growth.”
